Different Types of Pools

There are different types of pools defending on design, installation, size and type of materials used. It is advisable to have detailed information about the type of the pool you want to construct because each type of pool has its benefits and disadvantages.

What are the Different Types of Pools?

Vinyl Liner Pools
Vinyl Liner Pools have the same installation aspects like above ground pools, though they are in-ground pools. They also need excavations that are lined with wood frame pool or metal frame along the perimeter. Like above ground pools, they need sand along the bottom part and vinyl walls. Many people use vinyl inner pools because they are cheaper compared to other in-ground pools. The main setback is they do not last very long. Vinyl line pools can last for ten years, although before the liners require replacement.
Fiberglass Pools
Fiberglass Pools are built of by plastic, reinforced by fiberglass and finally shaped into pool basin. Before installing, the ground has to be excavated first.it is followed by plumbing set up like any other in-ground swimming pool. When excavation is over, the already made fiberglass basin is put gently into the dig. The area surrounding the basin is back-filled and the finish with the construction of the deck.

Concrete Pools different types of pools
Constructing Concrete pools is difficult. Poured-concrete pools are constructed as gunite swimming pools. The main difference between is that gunite swimming pools are built by pouring the concrete into the wooden forms, rather than applying the concrete material on a rebar framework. The gunite swimming pools have superseded this type of installation.

These grids are constructed by heavy gunite coating and rebar rods. The Gunite is made of by mixtures of cement and sand and placed around the rod. The surface may then be completed with concrete paint, fiberglass or plaster. Concerning durability, a gunite pool is far much durable than fiberglass pool. They have another benefit because they can be constructed in different shapes and there are several sizes are available for installation.

Ground Pools
Ground Pools are cheap and simple to construct or install. They don’t need much expertise and can be assembled by anybody with little knowledge. Some of the pools come with an instruction manual, for example, ring pools. It’s easy to set it up, though it is inadequate for most of the homeowners. Ring pools are installed temporary most of the time in the backyard.

Other features that above ground need are filters and pumps which can be dismantled easily and anytime in case there is need of transferring to another site.

The different types of pools are based on the type of materials used to build the pool. It also can vary if they are in-ground or above-ground. While all pools differ in structure, construction and size they all have some things in common. They all need pumps, filters and maintenance.
